CEDAR BLUFF, VA \u2014 Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC) is proud to announce the establishment of the Sales Executives Club Endowed Educational Scholarship for Business, a newly endowed fund created to support students pursuing degrees in Business or Marketing. This scholarship represents the final legacy of the Sales Executives Club of Bluefield, which is formally concluding its operations after more than 70 years of service to the regional business community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1954, the Sales Executives Club has been a vital force in promoting professional development, ethical business practices, and leadership in the Bluefield, Virginia and West Virginia area. As a 501(c)(6) business league, the club has brought together sales and marketing professionals for decades, fostering mentorship, networking, and community engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the decision to close its doors, the club\u2019s board members chose to ensure their mission lives on by investing in the future of local students. The endowed scholarship will be administered by the SWCC Educational Foundation, which supports nearly 300 scholarships annually. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a Business or Marketing program at Southwest Virginia Community College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis scholarship is a powerful tribute to the Sales Executives Club\u2019s enduring commitment to education and leadership,\u201d said Susan Lowe, Vice President of Institutional Advancement at SWCC. \u201cThough the club is closing, its values will live on through the students who benefit from this generous gift.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications for the 2026\u20132027 academic year will open December 1, 2025.
