Job Corps is a no cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 through 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training.
The Manufacturing Technology Center (MTC) is a not-for-profit organization partially funded by federal and state resources. Our primary mission is to assist the industries of southwest Virginia to become more competitive. All MTC Project Managers have an average of over 20 years of hands-on experience in a wide range of industries. All are certified Lean Manufacturing facilitators through the National Institute of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST-MET)
The Southwest Regional Adult Education Program offers free basic skills instruction to adult students, 18 and older, living in the counties of Buchanan, Dickenson, Russell, and Tazewell in Virginia.
Each WIB provides over site for the Workforce Investment Act programs, acts as a catalyst to provide seamless services among various workforce programs, and provides community leadership around workforce issues.
The Department of Rehabilitative Services provides services to help Virginians with disabilities become more independent and self-sufficient.
Virginia Department of Social Services provides services for adults and children.
