SGA Application

SGA is the student’s voice at SWCC.  SGA provides leadership training, community service hours, mentoring opportunities, improves campus life and coordinates the Student Activities budget at SWCC.  This serves as a source through which SGA supports and sponsors student activities on campus.

This sponsorship includes: clubs and organizations, the SWCC Series, intramural and club sports, special programs for students, support for the Community Center, and sponsoring special events such as dances and other social gatherings.

Voting will be conducted by current SWCC Students during the back to school event. 

SGA meetings are every Thursday from 12:10-1:05. Before applying, please make sure you are available for these times. Please note that a minimum of a 2.0 GPA is required to be eligible to participate in SGA.***

  • Please include an essay with a minimum of 400 words including the following information: *Leadership Experience *Describe your interest in SGA *Describe things you see need to be improved at SWCC and how you would contribute to those improvements *Why you chose SWCC *You may also attach recommendation letters from professors or teachers.
