Credit Bureau of the Virginias Foundation Presents Scholarship Gift to SWCC

Jimmy W. Welch, executive director of the Credit Bureau of the Virginias Foundation, Inc., presents Susan Lowe, vice president of Southwest Virginia Community College, with a check for scholarship assistance. The Credit Bureau of the Virginias Foundation Scholarship program grants six $1000 scholarships annually to students from the southwest Virginia/southern West Virginia counties bordering the Bluefield area. Students may receive the scholarship as long as they are successfully enrolled in a program at SWCC pursuing a diploma, usually for two years. Students targeted to receive these scholarships should have a grade point average of 2.0 to 3.0 and maintain that average to continue receiving the scholarship.
