Festival of the Arts: Empty Bowls & Student Art Show

April 14 @ 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm
Colorful illustration featuring symbols of the arts in red, blue, and black. A large swirling decorative pattern forms the base, with a microphone, comedy-and-tragedy theater mask, and utensils at the center. Silhouettes of dancers appear on each side, along with fireworks, target-like circles, a cello on the left, and an upright paintbrush on the right.

Festival of the Arts Empty Bowls and Student Art Show will begin at 12:15 in the Art Gallery.

The Student Art Show will feature the work of Southwest students in a variety of mediums.

The Empty Bowls Lunch ($20) features one-of-a-kind ceramic bowls crafted by students from Lebanon High School, Richlands High School, and Southwest Virginia Community College. The soup is a culinary creation by the students of the Southwest Virginia Community College Culinary Program.

The Empty Bowls Lunch is in honor of Doug Branton for his many years of enthusiastic support of arts programs at Southwest and in our service area. Thank you, Doug!
