33 SWCC Student-Athletes Named Region 10 All-Academic for Fall Semester

NJCAA Region 10 has announced that 33 Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC) student-athletes have been awarded All-Academic honors for the Fall 2023 semester.

The All-Academic honors are awarded to student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance while participating in sports during the fall semester. The sports include basketball, soccer, and volleyball. To qualify for this prestigious honor, student-athletes must achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or higher while passing at least 12 credit hours.

The 33 honored student-athletes represent a diverse range of sports:

  • Paige Niethammer – Women’s Basketball
  • Maddie Day – Women’s Basketball

  • Lily Gray – Volleyball
  • Charlee Hale – Volleyball
