Credit Bureau of the Two Virginias Continues their Support

The Credit Bureau of the Two Virginias Foundation, Inc. has been donating scholarship funds to the Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC) Educational Foundation since 2003. James Carter from the Credit Bureau of the Virginia’s Foundation met with Dr. Susan Lowe, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, and Dr. Hayes, President of Southwest Virginia Community College to discuss their continuing partnership and share the donation.

To date, more than 75 Southwest Virginia Community College students have benefitted from the Credit Bureau of the Two Virginias Foundation Scholarship program over the years. Students targeted to receive these scholarships should have a grade point average of 2.0 to 3.0, students who often fall outside the scope of traditional academic awards but show great promise and determination. This year, the foundation continued its commitment by donating $4,000 toward student scholarships and an additional $2,000 to support the Southwest Festival of the Arts.
